About

Dr. Daniel Finley Ph.D. L.Ac. has had a passion for nutrition, fitness and health since his childhood. As a teen he experienced digestive issues and was looking for a natural way to relieve them before they turned into serious health concerns.  Around the same time he began to study Eight Step Preying Mantis Kung Fu and eventually became an instructor. Through Kung Fu, Daniel met Grandmaster James Shyun, a Doctor of Chinese Medicine who helped treat his digestive problems. This experience led him to pursue a career in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. He studied at the Texas Health Science University in Austin, receiving a Masters in Oriental Medicine, and later received his Phd. in Chinese Medicine with a focus on spinal cord injuries and nerve damage. He is one of the leading experts in the world on nervous system damage, and has several successful cases of treating bowel and bladder dysfunction.

In addition to treating spinal cord injuries, Daniel is also head of the acupuncture department at University Behavioral Health Hospital in Denton.  There, he works exclusively with active duty military soldiers returning from deployment who are in pain and suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
